Terms of Service

1. The service

RentShield provides information about car-rental companies, photo capture tools, AI-assisted inspection reports and AI-generated dispute letters. We are not a law firm and our output does not constitute legal advice.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.

3. Paid products

• Capture (€2.99), Inspect (€5.99) and Dispute (€9.99) are one-time purchases per rental.
• Prices include applicable VAT. Invoices are issued automatically by email.

4. Right of withdrawal

EU consumers have 14 days to withdraw from a digital purchase under Directive 2011/83/EU, unless you have started using the product (e.g. uploaded photos in Capture, generated an Inspect report or a Dispute letter). In that case you expressly waive the right of withdrawal at the moment of first use.

5. Acceptable use

• Don't upload content you don't have the right to share.
• Don't use RentShield to file knowingly false disputes or to harass companies or staff.
• Don't scrape, reverse-engineer or attempt to disrupt the service.

6. Trust Scores

Trust Scores are aggregated from reviews, regulatory data and user reports. We strive for accuracy but make no warranty that scores reflect every individual experience. Companies may submit corrections via trust@rentshield.eu.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RentShield's total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by EU law (e.g. for gross negligence or wilful misconduct).

8. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We can suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union member state in which RentShield is established, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
