Our story
It started after one of our founders was charged €420 for a windshield chip that was already on the car at pickup. There were no photos, no proof, no easy way to fight it. After dozens of emails and a chargeback later, we realised this happens to thousands of travellers every week — and almost no one wins.
So we built RentShield: a single place to check who you're renting from, capture proof at pickup and return, and generate strong dispute letters when something goes wrong.
What we believe
- Travellers deserve transparency. Rental companies have years of data on you. You should have the same on them.
- Evidence beats arguments. A timestamped photo with GPS metadata wins more disputes than any phone call.
- Privacy is non-negotiable. We store only what's needed to protect your case, on EU servers.
Where we are
RentShield is fully remote, registered in the European Union. Our customer support and engineering teams operate from across Europe, and our data is processed and stored exclusively within the EU.
